John Leon, Esq

Founder

John Leon is a Miami native, attorney, entrepreneur, and author whose work spans law, business, and global humanitarian efforts. A graduate of St. Thomas University, where he earned his Juris Doctor, John has spent more than two decades in private practice, building a nationally recognized career in civil litigation and Crisis Management. John is widely regarded as a pioneer in the field of Pre-Emptive Crisis Management, advising corporations, executives, and professionals on navigating complex legal and reputational challenges. His insights and work have been featured in major media outlets including Forbes, Bloomberg, USA Today, CBS, NBC, ABC, GQ, and Rolling Stone. John’s thought leadership has earned him national recognition, with leading publications referring to him as a “trailblazing” authority in his field. He has been named among the top 1% of attorneys in the United States and has received numerous honors, including “Lawyer of the Year” and recognition from organizations such as Super Lawyers and Who’s Who. In addition to his legal career, John is a published author and speaker. His current book has led to a national speaking tour, with additional titles currently in development alongside a companion podcast series. He recently delivered a TED Talk at St. Thomas University titled “Life Lessons from a Crisis Manager,” which has surpassed one million views and was recognized among the most impactful talks of 2025. Beyond law and writing, John is a serial entrepreneur with ventures across publishing, real estate, hospitality, media, and healthcare. He also serves as co-president of the Leon Foundation with his wife, Angelina. Through their foundation, they have funded schools in underserved communities, provided clean water access internationally, supported medical initiatives, and led ongoing efforts in education, poverty relief, and animal welfare. An endurance athlete representing the United States, John has competed in some of the world’s most demanding events, including the Ironman Triathlon, Baja 1000, and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. His pursuits have taken him from extreme desert races to high-altitude mountain climbs, as well as a solo swim from Alcatraz. Through his writing, speaking, and professional work, John Leon brings a rare combination of legal expertise, real-world experience, and global perspective offering readers insight into resilience, leadership, and navigating adversity at the highest levels.

Tom Lowenstien

Founder

Tom Lowenstein is a native of New York and cofounder of Summit Publishing Company. An accomplished author and ghostwriter whose work spans both fiction and nonfiction, he has published two books under his own name and has ghostwritten numerous works for prominent attorneys, a New York police officer, a Philadelphia narcotics officer, a United States Senate Chief of Staff, an insurance company, and other high-profile clients. He studied fiction at the University of Chicago under the acclaimed Professor Richard Stern and later served for three years as a Literature Teaching Fellow at Harvard University under renowned psychiatrist and author Robert Coles. His nonfiction book, The Trials of Walter Ogrod (2017), played a significant role in exonerating an innocent man from Death Row. The book was named one of the ten best books about Philadelphia by a local publication and was featured on national television programs including Dateline and Death Row Stories. His novel, The Ghost Detective, is inspired by a true crime from his own family history. At Summit Publishing, Tom is involved in overseeing all facets of the writing process including development, writing, and editing.
